Lakesha Jenkins got her beginning in a small, southern town in the MS Delta called Shelby, MS. Her love of poetry & prose came at a young age and blossomed into a full blown passion with time. As an avid reader she developed her own unique, poetic style which has spawned over 100 pieces. Her thirst for knowledge has taken her on a long journey of self discovery which it is safe to say is not over (since she's still here). Using her wry sense of humor, endless sarcasm, hard work ethic and never say never spirit has allowed her to accomplish much. Ultimately, her dream is to become a published author & motivation speaker.

She is a graduate of MS Valley State University with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She also has a Masters in Criminology and Social Justice Administration from Delta State University as well as a Masters in Education with Technology from Ashford University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education from Walden University. As a lifelong learner, she hopes to be an influential presence in the lives of the next generation of thinkers & doers.
