100% Me

by Lakesha Jenkins

You who are so righteous in your indignation
So content to be pitied and described as weak
Reveling in your ignorance
Lazy, trifling, and shiftless
Layed to waste by disease
Bound by addiction
Parasitic to society
How I loathe you!
Never going any place but too spiteful to let me pass
A thief
Wishing to rob me of my destiny and take from me all you never had
I should kill you!
But you are already dead
Rottened by your insides
As year after bitter year passed
Go away!
I never wanted to know you
I did not need to see
The lengths your were willing to go to
To satisfy your selfish needs
I forgive you!
Cause that’s the last thing you ever thought I would do
But I refuse to give you anymore power to misappropriate and abuse
Thank you!
For revealing yourself in time for me to see
That freeing myself of you
Allows me to be 100% me
