Fragments

by Lakesha Jenkins

We're all fragments of our former selves
All of us striving to complete the pieces
Rebuild ourselves, make whole our lives
Make reality the stuff of our dreams
Who are we really?
Just scattered pieces of a bigger universe
All disconnected, yet interconnected, lives intersected
Often feeling neglected by those we're seeking to love
Why are we seeking ourselves?
Outside ourselves
Almost beside ourselves
When all along inside ourselves
Is where the key called Faith dwells
To unite all the fragments to become our FULL selves lies hidden
Waiting for discovery.....
