Broken Seal

by Lakesha Jenkins

I crave you immensely...
my desire burns so incredibly...
profoundly…unbearably hot
Your words penetrate me so deeply;
I open myself to your thrusts
Chastising myself for lusting so blatantly
for someone who belongs already to somebody else
Stolen moments becoming memories that haunt me
yet I find you inserted in some of my deepest thought processes
Fear of the unknown grows within me,
as emotions from without fight within
I find my eyes watching you breathing
My hands seek you out in the dark
Dawn’s light interrupts our quiet haven
Your hesitation to leave my side warms my heart
Separated as we go about our “real” lives
This means this budding romance is defined in one word, Fantasy
From your words you confirm you have so much passion
I deny my own need, with faltering patience
My body waits for you
In your confusion I refuse to satisfy my carnal lusts
Watching you leave in the morning my heart admits the pain I feel
Unconsummated remains our relations;
Such emotion hidden behind a broken seal
