Love the Illusion

by Lakesha Jenkins

Love the illusion...1st hand knowledge of the broken promise of everything
that I thought we were.....
Scattered to the wind the decisions that led to the unwinding of our cord
No coincidence that alone I sit, alone in my thoughts, thinking so loudly I want to scream out "Be quiet"
Love the illusion...promised me forever but forever living on the memories of us when we were we....
Broken chains leading to the I'ness of me ....
I am not saddened, just awed at how quickly the illusion shattered
Drinking in the tears that have filled my cup of misery
drunk on the reality that used to be mystery when the entire universe stood still as I created my own present day misery
Love the illusion....revealed to be nothing more than tragedy dressed in fancy clothing while underneath deceit rots the flesh
I laugh at the pain that rips me over the edge...cascading into lunacy...
the merging of realities....the reality will forevermore be....what it used to be....
Nothing more than Love the illusion....
