Omavi is from the island of Dominica in the West Indies. Moving to the United States to attend college, the poet has been writing since he was 11 years old. He has been featured in numerous periodicals and an anthology – "Web of Words: Book One". His work has been published on the web, on some of the premier literary sites, including: TimBookTu, Mental Satin, The Nubian Chronicles, NubianMinds Poetry (to name a few).
Omavi is an avid reader, collects books, and can build a mean PC. He dabbles in web design, graphical design and programming.
