Harve L. Nichols is back at home in his native Philadelphia. He is proud to say that he has published his first book of poetry, titled She Comes To Me In Dreams and is currently working on a CD. A relative "New Jack" in spoken word, Nichols has written more than 300 poems and has now performed at Philadelphia's October Gallery, The Clef Club, Vibes and Verses, etc. He is now also the Executive Producer of SPOKEN WORD/OPEN MIC, where poets, rappers and singers get their creativity on at TTC Impeccable Caterers, 17th and McKean Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19145, (one block north of Snyder Avenue in South Philly) on the third Friday each month at 7:30 PM. If you're ever in the area stop on by, You will surely enjoy the show. While Nichols has been on radio numerous times and has been featured in the newspaper several time in the last year, his goal for the coming year is to continue to promote local talent and rejuvenate poetic verse in the minds of the populous. |
Born in February 1967, Nichols earned his a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a graduate of Westtown Friends School. He is currently the Program Director of a work release program in Trenton, NJ. He serves as the Interim Director and Board Member for the Peoples Unified Resource Center. He has been Assistant Director of Self-Sufficiency for the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, former Business Development Supervisor for the City of Pittsburgh, QA Directo r for JEVS.
His interests include computers, video games, movies, music, self-improvement, spectator sports, poetry, and writing. He is a Workforce Development Consultant, a Poet, an Author, and a Resume Writer. He is single and has no kids.
