Nigel Mugamu writes under the pen name, son_of_eve. He has been writing seriously for several years. He believes everyone has a gift, and writing is his gift. He says "Therefore when I write, I write from the heart. Poetry is my attempt to share some of the lessons I have learnt over the years. This is my way of giving back to the community." He is a Zimbabwean and at the moment, he lives and works in Sydney Australia as an accountant.

Some of his influences include Tupac Shakur, Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Erika Badu and Maya Angelou. Hip Hop, soul and jazz music play a vital role in his form of expression.
