Warriors reside in everyone of us

Deep within our soul

Many know not of its existence

Yet we sense its presence

But still turn a blind eye

On good days and when we need to cry

We are warriors

Strong and free

Conceived, moulded and created from dirt

Built to last, built to work

It is this trait that helps us give

Selecting, sifting allowing us to live

We are warriors

On any given day

Reciting the creed written within our soul

Regaining strength thus maintaining control

We may falter sometimes

Remember, we are warriors

We’ll always be fine

Soul search from time to time

Increasing your own sense of serenity

And this is always healthy

In my times of strife

I remember what gets me though life

Obstacles are planted so we can overcome

Why do you think God sent His son?

I recite ‘In God we trust’
