Crystal Barker is a Senior Elementary Education major at Langston University in Langston Oklahoma (Oklahoma's only HBCU). She is a member of the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. She is also Historian of the Panhellenic Council, President of the Eta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society, Vice President of Student Oklahoma Education Association, a Peer Mentor for Student Support Services, a member of HSEPP (HIV STD Education Prevention Project), a member of NEA (National Education Association), she has been listed in Who's Who Among Colleges and Universities, Dean's and President's Honor Roll, Member of the Honorary Dean's List, Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society, etc. In her spare time she enjoys reading African American novels, and writing poetry.
