Sherrie' Jackson

Sherrie' Jackson began writing in intermediate and says, "I thought nothing of it at the time." She goes to tell about her journey, "The counselor always called me in to write more poetry. I guess she seen something in me that I didn’t. Later on my father died of a blood clot, I was only 12. He passed away at the hospital in the ambulance as we were watching the men try to save his life. I stop writing and my whole life changed. Life went on I went to college, had a kid and got married; I was married for 5 years and didn’t write much. I then began writing again after my marriage ended in 2015 real tough. Poetry is a passion of mine and I discovered this out of nowhere. I always seem to have been long winded and enjoyed explaining myself so poetry hit the nail for me. I’m continuing to grow and love the art of creating life through writing. All of my poetry is original!"
