The Madhatter was born and raised on Chicago's southside (the WILD, WILD'S) but recently moved to NE Atlanta. Enjoys the city so far, but she is looking for some decent spoken word forums. She loves all forms of art and truly has a renaissance heart and spirit.
She says "I love literature in every form. A lot of my writings are poetry, but I have some spoken word pieces. Initailly I didn't fully understand the true differences, but know that I do I can channel my writing according to which medium I feel will best depict the piece. I just love to write. everything, poetry, spoken word, short stories, essays, scripts, just everything. Right now I'm at a place where I do it for the passion, not for the recognition (obviously) and not for monetary gain. Sometimes I feel like I'm cheating my gift and my Creator by not being out there or putting out some of my best work, but in due time. Slow and steady wins the race, right? but to balance things out I do work on writing every day and read which in turn helps my writing. And I submit my work to TimBookTu!"
