The Other Woman

by Alia Arynn

I want to be a haven when she's giving you hell.
And be the ears that listen when hers have fallen deaf.
Allow me to be your breath of fresh air
when she's sucking the life out of you.

I'm here when you need me.
I'm the other woman.

Come to me when she's acting funny when you want to get freaky.
You can sweat on my silk gown.
Play in my hair.
Come in thru the "backdoor."
I'll swallow for you.
We can even leave the lights on.
I won't worry about what you'll think of me afterwards.
I'm the other woman.

I won't complain when you have to leave to go play ball.
We won't argue if you have plans to watch the game with your boys.
No attitude when you go to "the club" on Thursday.
There's no need for excuses or explanations,
ours is a no strings attached relationship.

I'm the other woman.

I know how to stay entertained while you're away.
Especially on Thursdays. That's "ladies night" at the club where we met.

So do your thing and we'll get together when we can.
And when we do I promise to be everything that she's not.

Because I'm the other woman.
Isn't that why I exist?
I know my place and enjoy my role.
Come to me where it's drama free
Bask in the freedom of our "arrangement".
I'm the other woman..and if you won't tell...I won't either
