A native New Yorker, Tanisha M. John, is an entrepreneur and Community Liaison who organizes events throughout Brooklyn. Her first book of poetry, Because of Love, was self-published in 1998 in a short run press and her second book, Dreamer: A Poetic Visionary Journey is slated for release in June 2009. She is currently a student of metaphysics and in addition to her love of words, Tanisha is a Reiki Master/Teacher, trained in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of healing. She has been practicing Reiki for 10 years, and specializes in Distant Healing.
