Samahdi is from Queens, NY by way of Gainesville, FL and currently lives in Atlanta, GA. He has been married since 1999 and have four beautiful children named Free (9), Star (7), Justice (6), and my step son Mao (24). He has a BS in Communications and am receiving his Master's Degree in Secondary English from Kennesaw State University. He has taught elementary, middle and high school for over two years and coached girls basketball.

He has read his poetry at poetry events and places such as Apache Cafe in downtown Atlanta, GA. He has also done amateur comedy skits at The Punchline and Atlanta Improv.

He enjoy traveling, writing, sports, and doing new things that broaden my horizons and the cultural boundaries of my children. He most enjoys spending time with his family and fulfilling his universal and domestic role as a husband, father, friend, and role model.

He says, "Creative writing allows me the opportunity to move into that spiritual space where there are no limits, rules, or boundaries, enhancing the oneness between my physical and spiritual essence."
