JazzmineRose is the pen name of Tamikka Malloy, who is from South Jersey. She is a graduate of Rutgers University (New Brunswick 07) with a degree in English and Journalism. She was a features writer for an online entertainment magazine called thecelebritycafe.com.

While in college, she wrote for two of the campus newspapers--the Targum as a staff writer and the Green Print as a contributing writer. Currently she's working on her first book of poetry. She says, "As far as my writing inspirations, I'm inspired by Gwendolyn Brooks, Zora Neal Hurston and H. Mullen(My Sheroes) and Langston Huges is my greatest MUSE!"
