Not Just the Ghetto

by JazzmineRose

Blue collar, white collar, the struggle knows no color
No economic back ground or gender
Your side of the tracks is no better than mine
Together we stand in the same unemployment line.

Soup kitchens, food banks and thrift stores has become the new way of life
The ultimate goal is stay nourished and off the streets by "Any Means Necessary"!
Pay cuts, scaling back on the leisure and telling the kids NO!
"Harder than the times of twenty nine", holding on by a thread, trying to go with the flow.

The ghetto always knew broke, and by its first name
Meeting and greeting on a regular, so nothing's really changed,
It's a different time, but the same ol' game.
