Guns and Roses

by JazzmineRose

Casualty of roses down in their beds.
Individually the hearty roots exist to survive
Any sign of frailty or the wrong stoop and it's off with their heads.
In the ghetto the roses have a vacant window--
The iniquitous packing the heat sees to that.
Sadly it's the untilled most vulnerable that never grows.
As the steel cools down and the wicked moves on,
The rose is quickly forgotten, its petals wilt, and
The loam becomes rigid and rotten.
