Kimberly McKenzie

"It is said that everyone finds their calling at different times in their life. This is my story of how my love of writing came to be:"

"It was almost two years ago that I was inspired by the words of an author. After graduating from college, I discovered an African-American Romance novel mixed in with a million other school books. It was funny because I had purchased the book quite some time ago but yet found no time to read. I mean read for pleasure, something I did not have time to do during my four years in college. It was very refreshing to read something other than "politics". I found it was hard to put the book down and realized how much I had missed reading. As the chapters became fewer it was difficult to imagine the book was coming to an end. I had been captured by the words that had taken me into the story as if I was actually there. That is the true work of a great writer which, prompted my desire to write."

"What started out as a hobby has turned into a true passion. While working eight hours as a contract assistant, I love to write on my lunch hour. After coming home I try to work an additional few hours on my writing projects."

Kimberly McKenzie was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After high-school, she went straight into college and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She is happily married and enjoys being a mom.

"To conclude, my greatest achievement is to become a published writer. It would be a dream come true to capture an audience as I was when reading such a wonderful novel a few years back!"
