James Harris was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey in December 1948. He was raised by a single parent (his mother) along with three brothers and one sister. He attended elementary and high school in Newark; did some time in the U.S. Army and as they say has become a "jack of all trades and master of none." He says "I've always had an inclination to write at an early age and consequentially have spent a great deal of time writing throughout my lifetime. However, publication has always seemed to elude me and the visions that I had of becomming a renowned writer have faded but the spirit of the prose is in my blood and I would be without substance if I didn't pen the inspiration when it called." Mr. Harris resides in Philadelphia, PA.
