Wize officially known as E. Larry Guidry Jr was born in Kansas City, KS but his roots grow deep within the bayous of Louisiana. He began writing in 2012 and has performed on a number of occasions in New Orleans and at the local Poetic Underground. His style is patterned after Griots, African story tellers which he uses real life and current events as his muse. Wize holds a B.A. in History from Southern University at New Orleans and credits God, family, and his beautiful fiancé as his inspiration. His work in the community extends far beyond his life years. He has partnered with numerous community organizations such as the NAACP, LGESC, and local sports organizations to work with kids. He currently is the head basketball coach for MBC 3rd/4th grade basketball team. In the community he has done volunteer coach with his experience as a student-athlete. He has also worked with the Arts foundation which allows children to have an appreciation for the arts.
