Vanessa A. Johnson is a 911 Dispatch Supervisor at her local Police Department by day, having been employed there for the past twenty-five years and Poet/Writer by night. She's been married for 24 years and is the mother of three, Haven, 23 years, Alexis 3 years and Jalen (Deceased 7 years). She says, "It was the unexpected death of my mother and son that happened thirty-three days apart in 1994 that ignited the writing process again. I have always been an avid reader." Her other hobbies include traveling, baking and surfing the Internet. She has written several pieces that include short stories, poems and a non-fiction book, When Death Comes A Knockin', for which she is searching for an agent/publisher.
