Simone Boone is Simone Karnoski of Carbondale, Illinois. She is a twenty-eight year-old mother and wife. She is also in her fifth year as an English Teacher at Carbondale High School, where she thoroughly enjoys discussing the finer points of literature and language with teenage students of all ability levels. |
She says her favorite authors include Zora Neale Hurston, and Toni Morrison. She says "My goal as a writer is to do what these two women have done--ingeniously capture the spirit of the African-American woman through beautifully written prose and hard thought dialect."
