Born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, Sharel E. Gordon-Love started writing at the age of six, winning immediate recognition for her essays and short stories. Her first non-fiction work, “Is There Hope for the Black Male?” was published by Black Child Magazine in 1994. Certified in Microcomputer Technology and Business Administration, Mrs. Gordon-Love graduated from Berkeley College of Business in 1993. She is currently employed as a Quality Assurance SOP Administrator for a multi-national skin care corporation in Norwalk, CT. |
A licensed evangelist, Sharel and her family attend Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Bridgeport, Connecticut. There she serves as President of the Youth Department, and is also actively involved in the Sunday School, Young Women and Children’s Church ministries.
Ms. Gordon-Love, resides in north Bridgeport, Connecticut with her three sons and daughter.
