All Black Men Are Not Dogs

by Gaptoothbrotha and Tracy McKever

This isn't for the brothas that walk on all fours
But for the courtesy brothas
The ones who say, "Thank you" and open up doors
Raising their children and loving their wives
Ones who live righteous lives
Not all brothas should be considered dogs
Let's eliminate the finger pointing while lifting the fog
Being a black man in America is already a Herculean endeavor
Filled with pit falls, mistrust, danger, and stormy weather
Let's place the blame where it rightfully belongs
Dividing the right from the wrong
Let the record show and we must be fair
There are a lot of good brothas out there
So if your pants are sagging
And your ears are pointed and tail wagging
This one isn't for you
But, for the brothas who walk upright on two.
