Lucy Chihandae

Lucy Chihandae is a journalist, editor, writer and poet with 15 years of media expertise in print and broadcast media where she horned her writing and presentation skills. She has been writing since the age of nine and believes in the power of imagination and individualism. Much of her writing was inspired by the fact that she grew up in a richly literal family with reading parents and an older word smart sister she adored. Her first story was a slight copy paste of her sister’s maiden manuscript, a tale of horror called ‘fropillon’s spell,’ She was so enchanted by the story she tried to rewrite it but the story did not quite measure up. Not giving up, she proceeded to write her first poem ‘the circle house,’ and never stopped writing. She currently lives in Maryland, USA and is Vice President for the Spoken Word Artist Association and Network, an organisation working at promoting spoken word artistry world wide. she is in the process of working on her own novel and short story anthology.
