Akoli Penoukou was born in West Africa on May 6, 1953. When he failed to enter the university in 1974, he turned his attention to writing. His story has been accepted for publishing in Highlights for Children and another has won honorable mention in the ByLine Magazine’s Short Story, July 10, 2006 Deadline. Currently he works as a broker-businessman, translator, and teacher of Business English. He lives in Togo, West Africa with his wife and three children.
