Riding on jazz waves
I floated into the air
Of Love Lilies
Dark and pretty
Mysterious, potent
I inhaled its flavor
And fell in love
Not concerned
With risk of being poisoned
I sniffed, tasted, and absorbed
Its magical fragrance
& became intoxicated
Off the shape of its petals
& how they swayed in the June breeze
Hypnotized by its physical beauty
Never did I think twice
About this mysterious creation.
As I removed my shell and flexed to
Meet it’s form, taking on
Its shape, feeling no discomfort
I worried not of harm
But wondered of what
Was to come of my
Adaptability.
