As women we find ourselves, institutionalized
We fight the hardship of poverty, drug abuse
The mental torment of our minds, as we strive to persevere
The physical scares, a constant reminder
We've become a part of an egotistic society,
Unable to claim our rights, consumed in darkness
Our hearts are constantly shattered
The journey, trying to find love in all the wrong places
The suffering of our silent shame
The condemnation of refutation,
That has become a part of our character
As we are brazened out,
We face the pestilence of an ever changing society
The transgender
Our individuality
Sexual identity
The uniqueness
Distinctiveness
The custom of one's behavior
Rejected we live in fear
Hard times, the things we have endured
Searching, trying to find purpose for our lives
Robbed of our innocence
Locked in a box, slowly slipping away
Bondage, the silent killer
Oppression, depression has become unbearable
Promiscuous, we are immoral, loose, and licentious
Contradicting ourselves unwarranted
Careless to our own well being
We've become self – centered to our lustful desires
Our sinful and wicked ways
Unjustifiable, but we know it all
But the virtuous woman, the upright woman, she is blameless
Incorruptible, faithful without reproach
Worthy in the sight of God… let her stand as the effective voice of power
