TAP (teape)

TAP (teape) and the project minister are pen names used by Trent Alan Peterson. Born in Portsmouth, VA, he was raised in Virginia Beach, VA for most of his life. He began writing at 14 years old, but began to look at his poetry as a serious form of art work in 1997, at age 20. He writes about topics that range from the struggles of Blacks, both past and present, to personal turmoils of growth (physical, mental and spiritual) and love. "I hope to one day be part of the 'resurrection' of our black consciousness, as well as our spiritual rebirth through art." He graduated from Radford University in 1999 with a B.S. in Social Science, and is in his second year of graduate work at Radford in the English program.

You can contact Mr. Peterson via e-mail at tawfiki33@hotmail.com or by sending an e-mail to TimBookTu and it will be forwarded.
