Political stand-ins attempt to manipulate 
the people for which they represent.
Lies are told, some dreams are sold, 
funding campaigns on which our money is spent.

Hard earned dollars (for the average American), 
go to causes 
that present little effect. 
The door gets closed 
and we’re left in the cold,
knowing little when it’s time to Elect.

It’s an extremely sad reality 
when the community is forgotten,
but it’s on us to decide our position.
We’ll either stand up and walk,
or knell down and crawl, 
Only the former will change our condition.
