(Ms.) Shawn A. Jones graduated from Agnes Scott College in 2007 with a BA Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. Since then, she has experienced many familial and personal trials, but her dreams have not forsaken her.

She is a published poet, spoken poetry artist, creator and editor of a compilation of poems entitled, She Left Us 12, a previous contributing writer for Examiner.com, and the author of a yet unpublished work of fiction entitled, Honeysuckle Dreams. She is a lover of the arts, movies, and old-school music. Her favorite authors are Pearl Cleage, Valerie Wilson-Wesley, and Toni Morrison.

She is currently employed in the public sector, but she continues to write whenever inspiration strikes, and recites whenever the opportunity arises.
