Ain't Nuthin' Like A Dark Skinned Man

by Joyce Rogers

No other skin reflects the light
Of the true and living God.
No other man...like him,
Captures the eye of a woman's heart.

Ain't nuthin' like a dark skinned man.

His voice can be thunderous
Without relent.
Yet smooth as silk
In a passionate moment.

Ain't nuthin' like a dark skinned man.

The high yellas
Are the most peculiar fellas.
The pecan browns
May be the most common around...but

Ain't nuthin' like a dark skinned man.

The glimmer in his eyes,
No star in heaven defies.
The groove in his walk,
A rhythm without fault.
No other smile can
Reveal such beautiful tiles.
He can get most any woman
Of any race, in any land,
Because they all know...

Ain't nuthin' like a dark skinned man!

He is envied and despised
By men of all races,
As he commands attention
In any room he graces.

When the angels saw God form him
From the dust of the land,
They said...

"Ain't nuthin' like a dark skinned man".
