Stealing Moments

by Robin Price

I stole a moment away with you today,
How good it felt to be with you again,
It wasn’t a sad moment but a good one that I
Found myself playing over and over
Again in my head,
I miss you dearly my sweet mother,
And everyday although it gets better,
It is sometimes rather lonely down
Here without you,
Who could possibly forget that smile that lit
Up every room and my heart,
I never loved another more than I loved you,
And my sole purpose was to make you happy
And see that we experienced life together,
Sometimes I felt like a dead woman walking around,
But you bought so much life to me and showed
Me how to enjoy the simple things in it,
So for this moment which is not enough
To satisfy my true desire,
I steal this moment
To think of you and be with you again.

I dedicate this poem to my mom
who passed away a few years ago.
I miss her daily and everyday God
blesses me when I think about her.
