Love and Desire knocked at the door of Soul.  
Love promised an infinitum of security, 
while Desire pledged to for fill every escapade with gentility

Side by side they stood, yearning for Soul to appoint a suitor.  
...Knowing which was the worthier of the two, 
Soul let Love amidst her paragon that she had preserved till this day.

Yet, every so often, Soul would embrace Desire for savored ecstasy.  
Love, on the other hand, would remember his promise 
and patiently wait for his Soul to return
