we’ve learned to be quiet in loud places camouflage our existence like ashes in dust salt in tears having already been objectified assimilation comes easy intimidation easier oppression without effort total breakdowns; inevitable injustice- unforgivable reality, uncomfortable and too often we are no one slow souls broken from bodies seeking compensation for woes falling frequently into society’s blind spots and out of heaven’s corners where even light will rupture and escape |
