Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Tick Tock
The cataract sound of the contemptuous clock
Ticking every second
Tocking every minute
Taunting our minds
Tainting our spirits
Thrusting fear into our hearts
I fear the ticking and tocking
Each tick makes me tremble
Each tock brings turbulence
I fear because time is running out
One day the clock will stop
I’ll be left lying face-first in the dirt
Lifeless
I can feel it coming
I can feel time running
Tick
I can feel my pulse bumping furiously
Tock
I feel perspiration and frustration
Tick Tock
The clock won’t stop from stopping
Memories simultaneously rushing through my head
Smiling as I’m relive them
Tick Tock
So many accomplishments I have yet to accomplish
So many experiences I have yet to experience
Too many promises I have yet to fulfill
Me versus Life and its deceptive conception
I have yet to win
I fear because time is running out
One day the clock will stop
I’ll be left lying face-first in the dirt
I can feel it coming
I can feel time running
Trembling from the clock’s turbulence
Fear constantly injected in my veins
The clock will stop
I’m sweating each tick
My heart skips a beat each tock
The cataract sound of the contemptuous clock.
