PoWerPoeT is the pen name of Willie Parks. He's been writing poetry consistantly since he was in the 8th grade. He says "Poetry is really the only thing in my life that lets me speak freely about any situation. Most of my poetry comes from the things I've experienced in my 25 years. It also revolves around those I hold dear to my heart, like my fiancee, our son, and my family. I very rarely write stories or things I have never experience.
