Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa, but currently residing in Seattle,Washinton, Sparkle Ladawn Plummer has always had an urge to write. She wrote her very first poem at the age of five years old. She received trophies and awards for many of her short stories and poems throughout her school years ranging from elementary school to college. Writing was something she always loved because she could easily express her feelings and creativity through pen and paper. Poetry, short story and songwriting are some of the creative pieces she loves to compose.

In her early twenties, Sparkle put down the pen and paper and took the spotlight in front of the camera. She made a name for herself in the urban model industry but said her passion was always to write. She attended college at West Virginia University, Point Park University, and is currently finishing up her degree for a Bachelor of the Arts in English at the University of Phoenix.
