What Is Reality For You?

by Oneal Walters

I spotted my reflection with
Tired eyes that stared bravely
Steadily, at the cracked mirror.
I stared in awe at the image, at me.
I stared with unblinking eyes
At my strengths and my abilities,
Happily altering the image by smiling.
I can't remain in this position forever,
So I ran away from vanity.
Would that be the best thing to do?
I ran to the washroom,
Slowing down at the door,
Staring again at myself in another mirror.
