Karl A. Oglesby is a gifted poet/ author, lyricist and artist called by God to "minister to the broken-hearted
(and suffering) and to take His message of peace to the world." He has been writing poetry for over 20 yrs. and was well known for his
romantic and deeply passionate love poems until He was wondrously consecrated and anointed by God upon which he dedicated his literary
gift to the glory of God and the establishment of His Kingdom in all the earth. Most of his poetry is cause oriented as he frequently writes in
support of or as an advocate for those who have suffered greatly (for ex: the persecuted church, the anti-slavery movement, anti-violence,
victims of church burnings and the holocausts and the broken-hearted; he is also often commissioned to write Living Legacy poems which he
describes as being oil paintings painted with words, which describe a loved one’s life, personality and etc.)
Mr. Oglesby, who prefers to be
known as Brother Karl, was born in New Rochelle, New York in 1953, grew up in Columbia, SC and is a graduate of Talladega College,
Talladega, AL.; the Business Institute of Technology, Cedar Falls, IA and has completed a year of graduate work at the University of Northern
Iowa, Cedar Falls, IA.; he is currently studying for the ministry through the Global University-Berean School of the Bible. He is the proud father
of three children and grandfather of one grandchild. He has written over 1000 poems including the Legacy of a People Series of Inspirational
and Motivational Poems for African-Americans as well as the Passionate Rain Series of Love Poems. His poetry is available as limited edition
collector poems. His artwork and drawings, noted for their minimalist style, are also available as limited edition collector prints.
