Blame it on the winter,
Blame it on the snow,
Snowflakes falling fast then slow.
Dropping from the clouds mysteriously,
Retreating quickly like a memory.
Piercing every thought like a remedy.
Blankets of white spreading haphazardly.
Don't wake me until Winter's end,
When flowers blossom once again,
When the sights and sounds of Spring begins,
When all the world awakens once again.
I'll clear the pathway for you,
Shovel a path from the doorway too.
I want to see how warmth can light your soul,
You can blame it on winter's snow,
Every time we feel that glow,
Blame it on this blast of cold.
Winter has so many delights,
Just happy hibernating through the cold winter nights.
Euphoric eyes are now still,
And the moments we share cuts the chill.
