I view the World through shaded glasses
not the shade of a lens,
but that of my skin.
They allow me to reflect on my 
past, present, and future.

My past,
is one of rich African culture
and traditions
which have helped shape the identity of
this land.

The present,
is filled with extraordinary achievements
in sports,music, science,and politics
I am a front runner;
surpassing all expectations.

My future,
limitless 
with no boundaries.
I can be whatever and whomever i please.
what was once considered a crutch
is now the pulse and strength
of a nation.
