With the dough you stole
You named what is supposed to be the American Pie
To the people you owe
You continue to lie
Why?
This land wasn't built from your recipe
The apples in this dessert aren't from your tree
Or Sara Lee
They were planted by my family
Yet you want to act like you created this
When you don't know the first thing about the ingredients
And that's a damn shame
Because it took many hours of tears, sweat, and pain
And the sweetness that was placed into it
didn't come from any cane
It came from the blood from the chains
So the taste of Africa will always remain
Yet you try to remake it and substitute its original content
But the African is the OWNER of the American Recipe...
YOU JUST SIMPLY RENT!
