It's me the one that sometimes ignores You
The one that spiritually wants to adore You
The one that is oft times disobedient and defiant
The one that is sometimes self-serving and non-compliant

It's me the one that struggles between good and bad
The one that calls on You for comfort when I'm feeling sad
The one that You lovingly forgive
The one that You gave Your son's life for that I might live

It's me the one that attempts to hide Your word in my heart
The one that life's lessons often has me repeat my failed start
The one that You chose and uniquely identified as Your child
The one that every now and then...behaves wild

It's me the one standing in the need of prayer and mercy
The one that takes grace for granted and sometimes acts unworthy
The one that is thankful You sow blessings despite my spoiled sod
I'm the one that will never stop praying for others to You... my Dear God
