Miss Thang

by Malcolm Ali

'Miss Thang' I caught a glimpse of Cleopatra in all of her majesty when I
saw you gliding down the hallway swinging your hips from side to side.

'Miss Thang' I caught a glimpse of Nefirtiti in all of her royalty as I saw
you turn and prop your head on your shoulders with your braids wrapped
lookin' like a crown.

'Miss Thang' I removed your veil and was in awe of your legendary beauty and
mystery. Dark brown eyes, red full lips, golden earrings, mahogany skin and
an enchanting smile.

'Miss Thang' I caught a glimpse of Egypt herself, adorned in diamonds and
gold, as I became captivated by your soulful strut.

'Miss Thang' I felt the embrace of Nubia in the flesh, dark and lovely,
elegant and beautiful, as I became lost between your hips.

'Miss Thang' I knew that I had laid eyes upon Africa herself, in all of her
brilliance and glory, as I saw a man-child emerge from your womb. I knew
then, that I was in the presence of a queen.

'Miss Thang' you are all these and more.
