As you slept, we all watched over you

Hoping and praying that you would make it through

It is at moments like this that God proves his mighty power, as 
time went on, minute by minute, hour by hour

I wonder if you realize that while you were asleep, angels 
surrounded you, as death tried to creep

And when you were dreaming did God reveal his true plan, to 
touch your heart and birth a new man?

I would venture to guess everyone is calling this luck, but at 
times God puts us on our backs, so the only place we have to look 
is up

Life has all kinds of lessons, and we all must take heed, to the 
messages that the universe sends us, some serious indeed

So as you look ahead with a whole new way, just remember that 
while you were sleeping, God granted you a new day.
