Words

Tangled in a web of lies

Drowning in a pool of deceit

Tortured by the stare of evil eyes

Evil eyes who want to assassinate my character

with malicious slander and beat my reputation to a bloody pulp

Their rage is fueled with the ammunition of deep-seated hatred

A lynch-mob of hostility that would love nothing more

than to watch my dignity perish by the noose

that hangs from the tree of despair

A deadly weapon of poisonous tongues speaking words

that can completely destroy me and who I am

But I'm still here.

And I ain't going nowhere,

standing on my mountaintop of endurance.

But the main thing about it is,

I'm still standing

My perserverance is power,

my existence is vital,

and it will never be terminated by words
