Courtland, Alabama native, Labretta Goines Donegan, is the author of Expressions Inspired Volume One, Rhymes, Reality, and Spoken Word. Expressions Inspired is her first published poetry collection, and she is currently working on her second publication, Expressions Inspired Volume Two, Diary of a Mad Poet. Labretta is a single-parent mother of two sons, and a full-time financial institution employee, 20 years to be exact. She is also a part-time Avon representative. In her spare time, she loves reading the Bible, reading and writing poetry, watching movies, and collecting and trying new recipes. She also loves walking, listening to music, attending concerts, and participating in open mic poetry events. Labretta is also involved in a weekly ministry work in the community to both preach and teach about God's Kingdom, and also give spiritual encouragement.
