J.L. Torres

J.L. Torres is a professor of English at SUNY Plattsburgh, where he teaches U.S. ethnic literature and creative writing. He holds a PhD, and an M.F.A. in creative writing from Columbia University. He has published (or will publish) stories and poems in several small journals and magazines, among them The Bilingual Review, The Americas Review, Wind, The Connecticut Review, Puerto del Sol, Denver Quarterly, Blue Collar Review. One of my stories was anthologized in Growing Up Latino, a volume published by Houghton-Mifflin. At the moment, he's circulating a collection of poems entitled Carimbo, and he's working on a collection of short stories entitled Paper Planes.
